100 eggs of turtles “Caretta Caretta” were found at the end of July this year on the beach of Acciaroli, and some locals also had the honour to attend their disclosure and make a round of applause for the new born babies.
Emotional? Definitely! The mayor of Pollica, which is the district where the Acciaroli beach is, twitted the following words the day after the discovery.
“A mummy turtle put her next generations in the hands of the sea of Acciaroli, and we are ready to take care of it”. Isn’t it an happy ending?
