#CaladegliInfreschi in Marina di Camerota (Salerno district) has been acclaimed as the most beautiful beach of 2014.
Nestled in a bay in the Ciento region, it has received the first prize for the second year in a row by Legambiente, the most active and widespread environmental organisation in Italy.
The beach, accessible by boat or narrow paths through the mediterranean maquis, has an incredible allure but it has also a great value biology-wise.
Waters have different shades of blue, from crystalline to deep dark blue. Legambiente has collected nominations on the web to select the best beach category for 2 months, matching the results with the feedbacks of environment experts. The outcome has been published on the Italian guide «Il mare più bello, la nuova Guida Blu 2014» ( “The most beautiful sea, the new Blue guide 2014”)
